It's no secret I am a giant fan of butter LONDON (I'll be posting a list of some of my favorite butter LONDON polish swatches in the next week so check back!), so when I was incredibly eager to see their holiday collection this year. Let's just say, I wasn't disappointed!
butter LONDON's 2011 holiday collection consists of 3 limited edition, US-only shadows (which is interesting because they're a UK company). They are...
Tart With A Heart
Color description: Who says pink glitter can’t be girly AND sexy?! This pale pink parade of glitter carries a dash of grey to tone down the sugar and ramp up the spice.
My Opinion: I think this looks like fun! I'd definitely love to try it, it's feminine, glitter-trendy, but not super obnoxious--dainty! I have a very good British friend and we often referred to each other as tarts (in jest) when we were teens--yes, we were odd. I love butter LONDON's names!
Color description: Be a beacon to bad boys and the life of the party in dazzling “liquid metal” rose pink.
My Opinion: This looks lovely, I can see this being very wearable for a lot of makeup lovers out there looking for something a bit more office appropriate.
Color description: A dark dazzler from butter LONDON, this glitter fusion contains black, pink, blue, and silver suspended in a black base.
My Opinion: This is my favorite of the bunch (though I love the others as well)! The moment I saw this I knew I had to have it. I'm a sucker for butter LONDON to begin with, but a black base with crazy micro-glittery fabulousness? Sign me up!
I like this mini-collection, I think it's a bit different than some of the more traditional holiday collections I've swatched so far, but it's still current and interesting. There's something so refined about butter LONDON that just appeals to me. I love classic with a touch of unexpected and I feel as though butter LONDON often delivers this. I'd love to give these a try, if I get my hands on them I'll definitely post swatches!
